Visitors will want to take some time to peruse the Buckaroo Hall of Fame and other exhibits that feature mining, historical representations of the Great Basin, American Indian heritage, and the pioneer trail. For a true ‘Wild West” experience be sure to stop by Tip’s Western for a glimpse of their beautiful custom saddles, leather goods, spurs, and other western items. Not far from town, you’ll discover hiking, biking, hunting and off-roading adventures on thousands of trails.

Cross the river and take a tour through the history of the real Wild West at the Humboldt Museum. Discover the site where thousands of wagon trains traversed the Humboldt River on the long journey to California. Wander through the modern brick building mirroring its historic predecessor, a quaint church turned museum. Additionally, you’ll find the Greinstein Building, an 1880's store, and the Richardson-Saunders House, an 1899 Eastlake style home. Together, the buildings make up the rich history of the community.
